Our experienced, knowlegeable, compassionate staff has helped many individuals lose weight and keep it off both through surgery, diet and lifestyle modifications.

What will happen to my skin after surgery?

Excess skin may sag after surgery therefore some people choose to undergo reconstructive surgery to further tone and enhance their figure. Skin sagging can be minimized with proper diet and exercise.

Are some people unable to lose weight even after weight loss surgery?

Every person is different and responds differently to different treatments. Weight loss surgery is a tool to help you lose weight and no matter which procedure a person chooses, each of them requires effort and commitment on the part of the individual. This includes following a healthy diet, exercising regularly, following-up regularly with a physician and attending support group meetings and one-on-one psychological support. There have been cases where patients have not lost enough weight or do not lose the amount of weight they expected, but typically a person’s success is directly related to their commitment to the post-surgical program and recommendations, since the surgical process is only part of the overall equation.

What is ‘medically-supervised weight loss’ and what does it entail?

Medically-supervised weight loss programs involve the guidance, advice and supervision of a staff of medical professionals that address all aspects of healthy weight reduction and maintenance, including diet and food selection, lifestyle and behavior issues, stress management, and exercise. We offer nutritional products to fulfill the rapid weight loss phase of the program, along with one-on-one support from nutritionists, psychologists and exercise specialists to help you lose weight and keep it off. We also have a full exercise facility on site where patients can meet with exercise specialists and complete their daily workouts. And, we offer ongoing group support and continued education at no cost—even after you have reached your goal weight.
