 Ann Cobau, ACSW, CSW

 

Qualifications: Ann is a two-time graduate of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor with a Bachelor's Degree in psychology and a Master's Degree in Social Work.  She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and is a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers.  Ann is also a Certified Group Fitness Instructor and a Certified Spinning Instructor and currently teaches classes and is the Group Fitness Coordinator at a local fitness club.  Ann has had experience in working with individuals and families, as well as experience in a hospital setting.  She has spent the last five years working in the weight loss and fitness field and has had her own experience of losing 100 pounds.

 

Philosophy: Ann feels that achieving weight loss is like learning to ride a bicycle.  We might fall off a few times, but eventually we find our balance.  At the St. John Weight Loss Institute our team is here to help you find the right balance to obtain a healthy weight now and for a lifetime.

 

 

 Jared M. Wood, M.A., L.L.P.
Limited Licensed Psychologist

 

Qualifications: Jared Wood is a limited licensed psychologist. His professional experience includes work in a variety of settings and professional capacities. Since graduating with his Master's degree from Wayne State University in 2001, he has been employed as a school and clinical psychologist. In 2004, he founded Jared M. Wood and Associates, a firm specializing in performance consulting for athletes, teams, and other individuals wishing to maximize their personal effectiveness. Jared's current professional development includes work on a Ph.D. in sport psychology in the Department of Kinesiology at Michigan State University.

 

Philosophy: My mission is to help my clients realize their dreams, goals, and expectations by working with them to improve their physical, mental, and emotional health. In my position as the behavioral specialist at the weight loss program, I draw on my experience, education, and knowledge in psychology, education, and kinesiology to help clients achieve their desired weight-loss and personal goals.

 

 

Rotesa Baker, MA, LPC, NCC

 

Qualifications:  Rotesa is a Licensed Professional Counselor.  She received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology & Rehabilitation Services from Florida State University and her Master's degree in Counseling from Eastern Michigan University.  Rotesa has experience in educational and community settings and currently provides individual and family counseling in a private setting relating to inter/intrapersonal issues.

 

Philosophy:  Rotesa believes that in life one may experience several obstacles and barriers.  However, through intrinsic motivation and determination one is able to remain steadfast on his/her desired goals. Strive to be a beautiful person inside and out.  Remember, the person inside is most important to develop and by taking care of your mind your body will follow.
