Non-Medically Supervised Treatments
There are two main differences between our medical and non-medical programs.
Our non-medical programs incorporate the following components:
The non-medical programs at St. John Weight Loss include lifestyle and/or behavioral education in the form of group classes or one-on-one counseling. We educate and provide you with sound knowledge and tools to lose weight and keep it off. Our dietitians, counselors and psychologists will provide insights and knowledge for you to make realistic lifestyle changes that can and will last a lifetime. Our 24-week rotation of classes includes the following topics: Emotional Eating, Building Support, Making your Home Healthy, Exercise Techniques, Stress Management, and Food Label Reading.
Whether your goal is to lose 30 or 100 pounds, we ensure balanced nutrition throughout your program. Every participant will meet one-on-one with a registered dietitian who will help you with meal planning and provide sound nutrition advice. Our non-medical programs may use all grocery store food or partial shakes and bars with some grocery store food. Regardless of what program you choose, a dietitian will help you.
Our program is unique because St. John Weight Loss programs incorporate personal exercise training. We offer a full exercise facility and individual training with our exercise specialist who will teach you safe and effective exercise techniques. Our exercise specialist will meet with you multiple times throughout your program and help you devise an exercise routine that meets your personal needs.
We know that taking the weight off is not always easy but keeping the weight off is often tougher. That is why all of our programs incorporate a lifetime of support to help you maintain your success. After completing a program, participants can keep coming for ongoing group support and continued education at zero additional expense.
